Silently intend the prayer in your heart. Example:
“I intend to pray 2 Rak’ahs of Fajr for Allah.”
Raise hands to ears (men) / shoulders (women) and say:
"Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest)
Recite:
Opening Supplication (Optional):
Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika...
Surah Al-Fatiha (Required):
Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil ‘alamin…
Another Surah (short) – e.g. Surah Ikhlas.
Bow down, hands on knees. Back flat.
Say:
"Subhana Rabbiyal Adheem" (3×)
(Glory is to my Lord, the Most Great)
Stand back up.
Say:
"Sami’Allahu liman hamidah"
(Allah hears those who praise Him)
"Rabbana lakal hamd"
(Our Lord, to You is all praise)
Go to the floor (forehead, nose, palms, knees, toes touch ground).
Say:
"Subhana Rabbiyal A‘la" (3×)
(Glory is to my Lord, the Most High)
Sit briefly.
Say:
"Rabbighfir li" (O Lord, forgive me)
Repeat the same sujud again.
That’s 1 Rak'ah.
Stand up for next one (if more are required).
After 2 Rak’ahs (in all prayers), sit and recite:
"At-Tahiyyatu lillahi..."
(Greetings, blessings and good words to Allah…)
Then continue:
"Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad..."
(Send peace and blessings on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ)
Turn head right, say:
"As-salamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah"
Turn left, repeat the same.
